In 2018 Robert Blackburn, founder and owner of Blackburn Labs, discovered that his team needed a clean and simple way to track test cases for their projects so that they could more easily report progress to their clients. Until then, the team had been doing this using spreadsheets and word documents. When he looked for a better solution, everything he found was either overly complicated or focused on the automated test scripts. Though those are clearly important to any project, he needed something that focused on the human-executed regression tests. He put his team to work, and Verfolio was born.
